CAPTAIN
Ryan Barno
Ryan was born and raised in the United States and from a young age was always looking for adventure. Adventure began initially through playing any sport he could; from basketball to volleyball, football, snowboarding, baseball and even kickball. This eventually led him to playing football for the University of Valparaiso in Indiana.
He graduated there with a degree in Public Relations and Sociology and then moved to Colorado, taking on a corporate job. It was on a trip to the Virgin Islands where Ryan fell in love with the ocean and scuba diving. As COVID began, that seed took hold and he moved to the islands and began his life on the water as a scuba instructor. His love of the water and adventure then led him to South Africa, where he earned his captain’s license.
Since that time Ryan has been traveling the world, season by season, always staying on the water. His travels have taken him to Malta in the Mediterranean as well as multiple Caribbean Islands, the most recent being Sint Marteen.
In his free time, you will find Ryan learning how to surf, finding a mountain to snowboard, finding another place to go scuba diving or planning a trip to see the remaining continents not yet checked off his list.

• RYA Yacht Master Sail Offshore
• Power Boat Level 2

Can’t thank you enough for a wonderful week in the BVIs! Your boat is wonderful - we were all very comfy. Tash - your food is AMAZING - especially your cinnamon rolls!! Cayden - thank you for putting up with our shenanigans and senior spring break, giggly girls! You’ve given us all memories for a lifetime! Love to all!

We are grateful for this incredible week spent with Caydon and Tash! They took us back to some of our favorite places while introducing us to new ones. We loved the itinerary and every day was a great adventure.
Every meal Tash prepared was a culinary masterpiece! She even made fresh bread throughout the week and catered to our preferences. One of our favorites was a breakfast of freshly made bagels with lox - delicious! One of our shared favorite memories was when we had an opportunity to play pickleball at Peter Island Resort followed up with a beautiful hike. Tash had snacks and drinks ready for us when we got back which was the perfect welcoming for us. As we sit here on our last day in the BVI, we look back on fantastic memories made alongside two new friends. Many thanks to Caydon and Tash!!

What a wonderful week with Tash and Caydon! Such a fun, courteous and skilled crew. Joyfully helped us with anything we asked. Always felt safe with Caydon’s sailing skill and knowledge. And Tash and her food creations . . . all better than any restaurant in our hometown. Truly spoiled us daily with culinary treats and works of art beyond our expectations. Thank you both for a fun and memorable week.

Caydon & Tash – It is hard to articulate what an amazing week this was! I’m sure it’s hard to have a “bad” week in the BVI’s but I’m also certain you two are the reason we enjoyed ourselves so much! With Caydon in charge, we were able to relax & not worry about safety or being able to see the best of the islands. The one-liners kept us laughing! Perfect mix of interaction & privacy! The food… oh my! Tash’s meals made us regret that we did half board! She is so talented, and we can’t wait to buy her cookbook! Hope we didn’t stress you guys out too much! We are counting down the days until we can join you all again on your next adventure!

Wow what a wonderful week of sailing, snorkeling, incredible food, laughter and special islands to visit. The six of us couldn’t have asked for a more memorable holiday. Tash – please come home with us. We have never had such delicious meals. What will we do without you. Caydon – you are very masterful and knowledgeable about all things sailing island history. Where the best place is to go. Hopefully we will sail with you again.

We are so grateful to you both for your amazing kindness, expertise and patience in helping us have the trip of a lifetime for Daniela's 50th birthday. You are two very skilled professionals who kept us safe, entertained and well fed!! Every meal was delicious with the service and ambiance of an award winning restaurant. We all had our favorite meals and I think the poke bowl won first place. Tasha, you must write a cook book for sailing and landlubbers too. Caydon, you are a fantastic captain and your bartending is superb. You both make those around you feel so much joy while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We wish you much success, happiness, love, laughter and a long, healthy life.

What can the Kanzler's say but wow!! Thank you so much for giving our family one of the most memorable, adventurous and fun-filled weeks together. Caydon you were so responsive and informative and found some great snorkel spots for us to enjoy. Mila, thank you for the 10 pounds we will need to work off when we get home - everything was so delicious and worth every bite!! Our 1st trip to the BVIs was a huge success and ya'll were a BIG part of it!

We just had the most wonderful week in the BVIs. Island Standard Time is a beautiful boat and Caydon and Mila were outstanding! Anyone who eats Mila's delicious recipes is going to want to steal them and Caydon makes the best painkillers in the BVI. We had such an amazing time with the two of them and they definitely took us to all the best spots. The week was a great balance between fun activities and relaxing - we cannot wait to come back on another tropical destination on IST with Caydon and Mila!
Four Seasons level of quality and service - spring 2023
I’ll soon be writing a complete review but with zero hesitation I’d recommend Sunshine Baby 2 with captain Hugo and first mate Mila. This 4.8 state of the art Bali can be located through (*your broker). We stayed at Scrub Island in a gorgeous villa with the other couple and then literally walked onto our charter from the Villa. We’re fortunate to experience global travel at a Ten Dot, Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons level of quality and service and we can say with zero hesitation this was the best trip we’ve ever done. This particular Catamaran combined with Captain Hugo and Five Star First Mate Mila is the finest BVI has to offer.
